This page explains what information churchreviewtool.com and the Church Financial Review Toolkit collect, who else touches it, and what we do not do. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, ask us using the contact form on the home page.

Who we are

Church Financial Review Toolkit is made by Wroot Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us”).

The short version

• We collect what you type into our contact form, and what our payment provider tells us about your purchase.
• The Toolkit desktop app works on your own computer. Your church's financial files are not sent to us.
• We do not sell your information. This website sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers; it counts page views with cookie-free analytics.

What we collect, and why

1. The contact form

If you use the form on this site, we receive your name, email address, your church's name (optional), and your message, along with the topic of the button you clicked to reach the form. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. The form is handled by Formspree (see “Who else handles information” below).

2. Purchases

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record. When you buy, Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information under its own privacy policy. We do not see or store your card number. We receive the details of your order (such as your name, email address, what you bought, and your license key) so that we can deliver the product and support you.

3. Visiting this website

Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives your IP address and basic details about your browser when you load a page, and may keep routine server logs. To display the page, your browser also fetches a font from Google Fonts and the page's styling from Tailwind's content delivery network; those services see your IP address when they do. This site does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising trackers.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It records which page was viewed, the referring site, and your approximate location, browser and device type. According to Vercel, it does not use cookies, does not tie visits to an individual or an IP address, and does not follow you across other websites. We use these counts only to understand how many people find and read this site. If we change how we measure visits, we will update this page first.

The Toolkit desktop app

The Toolkit runs on your Windows or Mac computer. The financial files you import and the review files you create (.cfrt files) stay on your computer. We do not receive them, and the app does not upload them to us.

There is one optional feature that sends data elsewhere: reading receipts with AI. It is off unless you supply your own Anthropic API key. If you do, the receipt images you choose to process are sent to Anthropic using your key, under your agreement with Anthropic, not through us. Do not use this feature if your church does not want receipts leaving your computer.

Who else handles information

• Formspree receives and forwards contact-form submissions to us.
• Lemon Squeezy processes payments, handles sales tax, and delivers your download and license key.
• Vercel hosts this website and provides its cookie-free visit counts.
• Google Fonts and Tailwind CSS supply the page's typeface and styling, as described above.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and handles information according to it. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

How long we keep information

We keep contact-form messages and order records for as long as we need them to answer you, support your purchase, and meet tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete a contact message and the information attached to it, except where we are required to keep a record.

Your choices

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you, by using the contact form. We will reply personally.

Children

This website and the Toolkit are for adults working on church finances. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will change this page and the “Last updated” date.
